Everett Wayne Hull, 87, of Mansfield, TX passed away on 30 May, 2022 in Mansfield, TX.
A private funeral service will be held by the family. Burial will occur at Burton Springs Cemetery. Arrangements are by Coker Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Everett was born in Mineral Wells, TX to Aaron and Levita Hull on February 23, 1935. He graduated as the valedictorian of Jacksboro High School, was recognized as the Outstanding Senior, and played all sports. He started at Texas Tech, but transferred to Texas Christian University, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree, lettered in Golf, and was a member of Delta Tau Delta.
Everett married Vanita Lewis on August 20, 1960 in Jacksboro, TX; they were married 61 years. They were married at the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro where they are also currently members.
Everett worked as a numismatist as the owner of Fort Worth Coin Company for 30 years. He was recently recognized as a 50 year member of the American Numismatic Association and was also a member of the Professional Numismatic Guild. Prior to that, he was a mathematics teacher at Poly High School and Southwest High School in Fort Worth ISD. He was a veteran and served in the Navy, retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents and both sons, Barton Wayne Hull and Bret Everett Hull.
Everett is survived by his wife, Vanita, Vanessa (daughter) and Hans Dykstra, Janay Hull (daughter-in-law), Barbara Gerriets (sister), and grandchildren Colton and Cason Hull, and Zane and Nate Dykstra, and other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Everett Hull Scholarship Fund at the American Numismatic Association.
