Ephraim E. Brewster, 86, a former resident of North Syracuse, died yesterday afternoon at his home in East Aurora. Mr. Brewster was born at Ellisburgh, Feb. 6, 1843, and was a direct descendant of Elder William Brewster who came to America on the Mayflower. His great grandfather, the Rev. Timothy Brewster, a was a Revolutionary War veteran. Mr. Brewster purchased a large farm near North Syracuse 45 years ago, living there 25 years until he retired and moved to East Aurora. He survived his wife, formerly Miss Elizabeth Ely, by two years. At the time of her death the couple had been married more than 60 years. Surviving relatives include a sister, Miss Adah Brewster; a brother, Addison Brewster; a son, Arthur J. Brewster, all of Syracuse, and a daughter, Miss Myrtle E. Brewster of East Aurora. The funeral will be conducted at East Aurora with burial at North Syracuse.
