Marie E. Ahearn, age 87, of 2401 Polk St., Two Rivers, formerly of 1506 21st St., died Sunday morning June 11, 2000, at the Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Larry Seidl, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Marie was born January 24, 1913, in Stangelville, Wis., daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Chada Konop. She was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy High School, Green Bay. On September 7, 1940, she was married to George L. Ahearn in Stangelville. He preceded her in death January 22, 1997. She was a long time member of St. Luke Parish and the Ladies Society of the church and was also a former member of the Homemaker's Club. Marie enjoyed baking and crocheting afghans for her family and friends.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Francis Duffy, Manitowoc, Mary and Philip Rehrauer and Marge and Donald Zimmer, all of Two Rivers; one son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Jody Ahearn, Franklin, Wis.; nine grandchildren, Adam and Andre Ahearn, Thomas, Erin and Karrie Duffy, Chris (Tim) Jordan, Jeff (Nicole) Rehrauer, Mark Wozniak, Amy (Wayne) Wallace; two step grandchildren, Mary and Emily Zimmer; two special great grandchildren, Alex Jordan and Jamie Wallace; one brother, Joseph Konop, Milwaukee. She is further survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Marion Ahearn, John Ahearn, and Miss Kathryn Ahearn, all of Two Rivers, Yvonne Ahearn, Beaver Dam, Mary Jeanne Diamond, Chicago, Dorothy Konop, California. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Wozniak; two sisters, Viola Konop and Lucille Grossel; two brothers, Alvin and Dan Konop; three sisters-in-law, Gen Konop, Maxine Konop and Ruth Ahearn and three brothers-in-law, Ray Grossel, James Diamond and Francis Ahearn.

Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, from 5-8 pm. Tuesday evening (TONIGHT) and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, until leaving for the church. A parish wake service will be held at 7 p.m. TONIGHT at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to TRCCS Endowment Fund or the St. Luke Endowment Fund.
