Harold W. Scheiner, 76, of Hayden, died at his home Monday evening, May 9th, 2022.

Harold was born on July 10th, 1945 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to Edward A. & Besse Scheiner, and moved with his family to Swanton, Ohio in 1950.

Harold attended and graduated Swanton High School before embarking on a lifelong journey of selfless service to his country and community by first joining the United States Coast Guard and also the Merchant Marines. During the next 6 1/2 years Harold was a police officer in the Toledo, OH area while a member of the Air Guard and then returned to Active Military Service with the United States Air Force until he retired in December 1993 in Alto, New Mexico. Harold married Mary L. Mariner in 1998 and they lived in Ruidoso, New Mexico until moving to Idaho in 2016.

Harold was a certified NRA instructor, a member of the American Legion, an avid reader, weapons enthusiast, amazing husband and grandfather to eight grandchildren.

Mr. Scheiner was preceded in death by his parents and his brother.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, her two sons and families, along with his son, Edward.

Graveside services were held at Fort Stanton, New Mexico on May 31st, 2022 at 1:30 p.m.
