Elijah Coomer, 75, Route 4, Nicholasville, died in a Lexington nursing home 3:45 p.m. Friday after a long illness.
He was a native of Beattyville and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vesta Sparks Coomer, one daughter, Mrs. Carl Bell, Lexington, three sisters, Mrs. Effie Bryant, Lexington, Mrs. Elvin Duff, Primrose, and Mrs. Jack Reilly, Montclair, Calif.
The body is at the Guyn, Kurtz and Hager Funeral Home, Nicholasville, where friends may call after 2 p.m. today.
