John retired as a civil engineer for the National Resource Conservation Service with many years of service. In his spare time, John also enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren
John is survived by his wife Linda Gorby Eddy, one daughter, Shannon (Kirk) Wissmar of Westover, three grandchildren, Reese Wissmar, Audrey Wissmar and Waylon Earl Eddy, two brothers, James Eddy of Covington, KY and Donnel (Carole) Eddy of Charlottesville, VA.
John was preceded in death by his son, Craig Matthew Eddy.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in John's memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60611
Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home, 770 Fairmont Road, Westover on Sunday from 1-3 pm and from 5:00 pm until the funeral service at 7:00 pm with Pastor Albert Cage officiating.
