Her husband was a coal miner, and the family followed the jobs in the mines, that is why they moved so much. Their son John had moved his family to Dearborn County, Indiana, and had his father move the family out of Kentucky to Indiana. Moses purchased land for a farm and retired being a farmer.

Thornton Back 1891-1919, he married Ethyl Raines. He is buried at Stholhday Cemetery. Information on death certificate.
