Paul V. Hulton, 95, passed away on June 7, 2022 at the Candlewood Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center, in New Milford. He became a widow after 62 years of marriage to Marjorie E. (Rylander) Hulton.

Paul was born to the late James R. Hulton Sr. and Mary (Rooney) Hulton on December 7, 1926 in New Milford and was a lifelong resident.

Paul was one of ten children and a graduate of New Milford High School, Class of 1944.

He served in the Navy as an Electrician's Mate during WWII, after discharge he worked as an electrician and became owner of Hulton Electric Supply Co. Inc. and Torrington Electric Supply Co. Inc.

Along with his family, he loved the Water Witch Hose Company #2. Paul was the longest serving Volunteer Firefighter in Connecticut and was a lifetime member of Water Witch.

He served his community in several ways, including the Democratic Town Committee and the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Paul is survived by his children, a daughter and her husband of New Milford, a daughter and her husband of CA, a daughter of FL, his sister of New Milford; seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Paul also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also predeceased by a son, Paul D. Hulton.
