Janice Faye Greer, 76 of Chattanooga, TN passed away at home on Thursday, June 9th, 2022 following a lengthy illness.

Janice was born on November 8th, 1945 to Virgle and Wilmer Montooth in Sweetwater, TN. She graduated from Midway High School in 1963 and went on to attend Tennessee Technical College for 2 years. Janice lived in the Chattanooga area most of her life and was a member of Frawley Road Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper and office manager for several companies throughout her career. Janice loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, gardening, reading books, and shopping for bargains.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Greer; brothers, Virgle Montooth, Jr., Thomas William Montooth; and sister, Bobbie Forshee.

Survivors include her two children, Derrick (Shawn) Greer and Candice (Chris) Ford; sister, Joyce Key; grandchildren: Marisa Greer, Aaden Greer, Skylar Ford, and Casey (Emily) Crook; nieces and nephews: James Key of Atlanta, Jo Montooth of Sweetwater, TN, Jason Key of Rossville, GA and Donna Forshee of Augusta, GA.

Janice will be laid to rest at the Chattanooga National Cemetery in a private family service.
