"Gene lost his battle with Covid that had been going on since December.
He was a very beloved man. He and his wife Michelle have been together for many years and he will be very missed. Gene was kind, patient, helpful and generous with his time."
From Michelle Dickenson: "Thank you to my family and friends for all that you have done. Giving me space, not giving me space, lol, listening to me, crying with me. I have no words to describe how much Gene will be missed. He loved me without question and was my best friend. Thank you for the donations, some individuals I don't even know. Incredibly, Gene's death allowed 3 individuals a chance to live using both his kidneys and liver."
Gene graduated from Santana High School and studied at San Diego City College. On March 2, 2014 Gene married Michelle Novotny.
Gene was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife, his mother and his siblings as well as friends.
