Son of the late Elmer and Martha Ahlborg.
On February 3, 1957 Vern married the late Robertine "Bootsie" Sarto. She preceded him in death on November 17, 1987 at the age of 56.
Vern was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and his two brothers, Elmer and Robert.∼Vernon C. Ahlborg, 79 years old.
He waited 22 long years to be reunited with the love of his life, Robertine "Bootsie" Ahlborg. She preceded him in death on November 17, 1987 and most assuredly greeted him with open arms as he entered his Heavenly home.
He was the son of the late Elmer and Martha (Riha) Ahlborg and lived in the Racine area all his life until moving to Sheboygan Falls, WI in 2002 to fulfill his dream of "country living". .
Vern attended local Racine schools graduating in 1948 and entered the Marine Corp. in 1951 and proudly served his country in the Korean War through August of 1953.
He married Robertine Sarto on February 3, 1951 in Racine, WI.
He and Bootsie raised three children together, (living omitted for privacy) He was the very proud "Papa" of ten grandchildren who he enjoyed spending time with. There was always some new treasure to discover in Papa's house or garage. Many hours were also spent at his farm in the country. He is further survived by his sister,and her children in northern WI as well as two brothers-in-law, and one sister-in-law, Ursula Kant.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Racine, WI on Thursday, November 5, 2009. The church is located at Hwy. C (Spring St.) and Emmertsen Rd.
