Harold R. Berkshire, 87, died on June 15, 2022 at his residence in Monticello, IN.

He was born on July 12, 1934 in Cass County, IN to the late Arthur and Frieda (Meeker) Berkshire. On December 10, 1994 at the Amana Baptist Church in rural Monticello, IN he married his sweetie, Jeanine Stilwell; she survives.

Harold had lived in the Monticello area all of his life. He attended Burnettsville High School. Harold then entered the United States Air Force and serviced during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of the former Burnettsville Masonic Lodge and was a Past Master. Harold retired from the International Union Local #103 Operating Engineers in Kokomo, IN. He owned and operated the former Berkshire Excavating for ten years. Harold in later years worked for Hawkins Enterprise in Lafayette, and WalMart and Indiana Beach in Monticello.

He is survived by his wife; six children; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gerald and Darrel Berkshire; and two sisters, Sheral Taylor and Carol Morrison.

A Masonic service by the Royal Center Masonic Lodge #585 will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home, followed by a visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM. Rev. Keith Raderstorf will officiate. Burial will take place in Thompson Cemetery in Royal Center, IN.
