Joseph Lee Cross

Joseph Lee Cross, 57, of Moberly, Missouri went home to the Lord on May 28, 2022, at the University Of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri.

Joe was born on March 17, 1965 in Macon, Missouri to William (Willie) Cross and Nellie Dawson Cross. He graduated from Bevier High School in 1983. In Joe's earlier years he worked at Toastmaster, in later and most recent years he worked for Con Agra Foods both are located in Macon.

He was a member of the The Pentecostal Church in Moberly and enjoyed his time volunteering in many positions at the church.

Joe was a great family man, a Godly man, a faithful servant, a giver and he loved to make everyone around him laugh. He enjoyed gardening and loved the TV show M.A.S.H.

He married his best friend, Kay Broemer on June 9, 2003 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They loved to travel and enjoyed their time together immensely. Joe will especially be remembered for his gentle soul and kindness to everyone who crossed his path.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Cross and step-son, Luke Sweatt.

Joe is survived by his wife, Kay Cross of Moberly; father, Willie Cross of Bevier; siblings, Norman Cross of Bevier, Randy (Sharon) Cross of Macon, David (Debbie) Cross of Macon, Mary (Randy) Allspach, Rebecca Bradley, Matt (Melissa) Cross all of Bevier; grandchildren, Courtney Sweatt of Moberly, Isabella Donovan of Minnesota, Gabriel Donovan of Brookfield, Annabelle Donovan of Moberly, Felix Goodsky of Minnesota, Nadrea and Nadia Broemer both of Georgia, Tiana Reeves of Hawaii, Aria and Kyah Baker, Rachell, Jackson and Janiah Lewis all of Columbia; step-children, Chris Broemer of Columbia, Jeremy Lewis of Columbia, Melissa Goodsky of Minnesota; several great grandchildren; Nieces and nephews, Brent Cross, Josh Allspach, Jessi White, Elizabeth Weeks, Gene, Caiti, Mary and Liam Bradley, Mattea and Annabella Cross.

A visitation to celebrate Joe's life will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO with funeral services for Joe on Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Richards Dale Cemetery in Bevier, MO.
