Brother Larry Joe Boyd, of Oxford, Al, passed away on June 16, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Service will be held at Antioch Baptist Church in Oxford on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 3:00 pm with a graveside following. Pastor Scott Smith will be officiating.
Brother Larry is survived by his wife, Joan Snow Boyd; daughter, Charity NeSmith; son, Joey Boyd (Marsha); brother, Kenneth Boyd (Sandra); grandchildren, Wesley, Brodie, Rylee, Jameson, and Josie Boyd, Joseph, Elizabeth, Jacob, and Abigail NeSmith.
He is preceded in death by his parents. George Boyd Jr and Lela Avaline Haynes Boyd; brothers, John and Steve Boyd.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce, a Southern Baptist Minister, a devoted husband, loving father, and a faithful ambassador of Christ. He taught everyone to work relentlessly, to love sacrificially, to give generously, .and to serve faithfully.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alabama Baptist Children's Home.
