His obituary is is posted in the Wilmington Herald Newspaper on 26 July 1851, stated that he died at age 71. He was the last survivor of the children of Hon. Timothy Bloodworth who represented the State in the U. S. Senate 1795-1801. Timothy left a wife and 9 children.
On 11 Aug 1851, George M. Bishop deeded land to the 9 children of Timothy Wake Bloodworth, dec'd stating that he had deeded the land to T. W. Bloodworth in 1836, without a clear title. The 9 children named are:
