CAROLINE "CARRIE" DOWNS, the daughter of RICHARD GEORGE DOWNS and SARAH ANN LATTER, the paternal granddaughter of GEORGE DOWNS and SARAH ANN HAYES of Ashland Ohio and the maternal granddaughter of GEORGE THOMAS LATTER and MARY ANN, was born October 14, 1867 in England, and died November 26, 1955 in Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio. She married CHARLES ELIAS SHOPBELL 1891 in Ohio, son of MANASSA SHOPBELL and MARTHA HOFFSTODT. He was born October 1869 in Ohio, and died 1945 in Ashland, Ashland County, Ohio.
