Delores M. Ashauer, age 88 of Clintonville, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022 at Theda Clark Medical Center, Neenah.

Delores Mae (Romberg) Ashauer was born March 31, 1934 in the Town of Pella, Shawano County, daughter to the late Frank & Jessie (Schmandt) Romberg. The youngest of four children, Delores grew up on the family farm, attended schools in Marion and later graduated from Marion High School in 1952. She was united in marriage to Leroy C. Ashauer at St. John's Lutheran Church, Marion on August 27, 1955. The couple lived in Dale, WI for 20 years, Neenah for about 15 years and finally in Clintonville for 30 years. Delores was "the boss" at home, but loved her role caring for her daughter, Sheryl. She also took her nephews, Leon & Lenny Vollmer, into her home a few years after they were orphaned. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clintonville. Delores was an excellent cook and loved to bake for her family; she also enjoyed flower gardening and just being outdoors in general. Her love for children made it easy to provide child care for others throughout her life. Over the years, Leroy and Delores traveled a fair amount; many road trips when the children were younger, Hawaii for their 25th anniversary, Alaska for their 50th, Washington D.C., and many other destinations. She also loved to sew, read a good book, and enjoyed music and dancing when the opportunity arose.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Leroy
Daughter: Sheryl (Chad) Huhn, Kimberly
Grandsons: Joshua Perisho, Menasha & Shane Huhn, Appleton
Sisters-in-law: Mary Ann Romberg, Marion & Joyce Zarling, Shawano
Many nieces, nephews, and other relatives
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lorraine (Herman) Vollmer & Evelyn (Ray) McAfee; and her brother, Franklyn F. Romberg.
Memorial services will be held 11 AM Saturday, July 16, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Caleb Rothfuss officiating. Inurnment will take place at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in King, WI at a later date.
