ADAMI, WILLIAM
Died, in San Diego, Texas, at the residence of his son, Chas. Adami, on Friday, April 23, 1905. William Adami, aged 78 years, a native of Prussia.

Mr. Adami was one of the early settlers of Southwest Texas, coming to Corpus Christi in 1852, enlisting in the U. S. army and going to work for Maj. Chapman as teamster. Later on he went to Tennessee, returning to engage in horse raising on the lower Precenos. The war coming on, he went to New Orleans, coming back after the war to engage in the horse business once more, subsequently moving to the Agua Dulce, where he engaged in raising both horses and sheep, some years later moving to LaSalle County and buying the Fly ranch, which he owned and where he lived at the time of his death. Mr. Adami married Miss Jeannette Reid, sister of Mr. Dan Reid, before the war, whom he left to mourn his loss, with ten children - seven sons and three daughters, viz: Charles, Henry, Daniel, George, Lee, Gordon and Grant Adami, and Mrs. Childers and Misses Emma and Mabel Adami. Mr. Adami was a good man and left hosts of friends. He was buried on his ranch last Saturday. (Corpus Christi Weekly Caller, Corpus Christi, Tex, May 5, 1905
