COLUMBIA - Services for Ira Quitman Craft, 80, will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, Jan. 25, 1999, at First Baptist Church, Boyce Chapel, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dr. Craft died Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999. Born in Pelion, in 1918, he was a son of Arch Walter and Mary Fallow Craft. He was a retired vice president of Butler Shoes and was currently the vice president of Cecil B. Day Foundation. He received a Doctorate in Humanities and a Doctorate in Business Administration. He was a veteran of World War II and a Prisoner of War, Stalag-7A.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Jo Cannon Craft; and a sister, Sarah Hite. He was predeceased by 10 siblings.
