Ray Mason Holt, at 89 went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2022. He was
a beloved Husband, Father, and Great Grand-Father. He sacrificed for his wife, family
and country so we could have a better life. He was a Veteran and served our country in
the Air Force – specializing in Aviation. After his service in the Air Force, he opened his
own business. He had a Brilliant Mind: an entrepreneur and operated businesses, a
pilot, real estate investor, inventor, engineer, mechanic and love to work on his farm

with his hands.

He soared high like the eagle, he never gave up, he was determined and rose above all
obstacles. He loved life and had a zest to live and be with his Children until the Day the

Lord called him Home.

Ray loved the Lord. Ray is together with the love of his life of 68 years, Elvie Holt. Ray
will be missed by his Children and eleven Grand Children, and thirteen Great-Grand
Children. We all Love You, Ray Holt, and will see you in paradise.
Luke 23:43 Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.

Some men with brilliant minds
Dream of having it all,
Wealth, health, notoriety;
Legacies that loom tall.
Ray Holt's dreams were all about
The simple and the small.
He pulled himself straight up
From a lonely, hard-scrabble youth
Using only the strength of his mind
And the straps of his worn-out boots.
He served his country with pride,
And taught himself a trade
Then slowly build a dream life
Around the foundation that he laid
He married, and raised children,
Dogs and chickens, too,
With his hands, he built a business
That would carry them all through.
All the while he harbored new dreams,
But not of wealth or fame,
Not of climbing corporate ladders
Or trading on his great name
A little farm, a little land,
A quiet, simple life,

A little place to spend his golden years
With his beloved wife
They lived that dream together
Until the good Lord called her home.
Now he has been called up, too,
Never again to be alone.
Ray's legacy is not a tower,
Leaving us in dark shadow,
It is a living ember
With a warm and gentle glow
Through him, generations will learn to treasure
what is wholesome, good and true:
Diligence, hard work, seeing tough times through
An honest, humble life that bravely shoulders every weight
For in the small and simple, there lies the truly great.

WE LOVE YOU DAD. REST IN PEACE WITH THE LORD UNTIL WE SEE YOU AND

MOM AGAIN!
