The funeral of Mrs. George Rutledge, Sr., 59, former Homer resident who died in Danville Sunday after a long illness due to pneumonia, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Danville. Interment was made in G. A. R. cemetery here.
Besides her husband the deceased is survived by the following children: Earl Rutledge, a member of the Danville police department; Lennie Rutledge, Homer; George, Jr., Irene Carrier, Myrtle Randall, all of Urbana, and Marie Peters of Leverett.
Her father, Elias Kirby, 83, pioneer resident of Sidney, also survives.

HOMER – Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Rutledge, former Homer resident, were held Tuesday in the Olivet Presbyterian church with Rev. James Fisher officiating. Burial was in G.A.R. cemetery, Homer.
Mrs. Rutledge was born in Homer, April 19, 1878, the daughter of Elias and Mary Jeet Kirby. Her entire life was spent in Homer until she moved to Danville several years ago.
Surviving are her husband George; three daughters, Mrs. Irene Carrier, Mrs. Marie Peters and Mrs. Myrtle Randall, of Urbana; three sons, Leonard, Homer, Earl, Danville, and George, Jr. Urbana Four sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Tiffen and Mrs. Fanny Johnson, Sidney; Mrs. Lena Peterson, Champaign, and Mrs. Nancy Johnson, Urbana also survive.
