PITTMAN, DOUGLAS V. Age 80, of Hemet, CA., passed away July 25, 2004. Doug was born in Aledo, Texas, July 13, 1924. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty Pittman. Doug served his country in WWII in the US Navy. After his service to his country he relocated to CA. and began a 37 years career with Pacific Press. Doug retired to Seven Hills in 1976. The family suggests donations to the United Methodist Church of Hemet in lieu of flowers. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Riverside Nat'l Cemetery. At the age of 15, Doug joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) at Breckenridge, Stephens county, TX; he spent his time serving in Utah. He was so proud he could send money home to help his family.
