Elizabeth A. "Bette" Kvitek, age 80 of Two Rivers, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc. Bette was born on June 28, 1941 in Two Rivers daughter of the late Louis and Viola (Flegle) Neumann. She attended school in Two Rivers and graduated with the class of 1959 from Washington High School. On October 5, 1963 Bette married Richard Kvitek at St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2017. She was employed at Paragon Electric, Pick'n Save and Estran until her retirement. Bette was a member of and volunteer for St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and previously religious education coordinator and member of the ladies of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Two Rivers. She is survived by four children: Mark Kvitek, Elroy, WI, Sara (David) Barnett, Manitowoc, David (Angela) Kvitek, Two Rivers, Kathryn "Katie" (Melvin) Williams, Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren: Curtis and Tyler Williams, Abbey Barnett; three sisters: Barbara Johnson, New Port Richey, FL, Kathleen "Kate" Neumann, Manitowoc, Jolene "Jodi" (Michael) Laurin, New Port Richey, FL; one sister-in-law; Joan Neumann, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband; Richard Kvitek; one brother; John Neumann; special sister-in-law: Elaine Kvitek; and brother-in-law: Ronald Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 1, 2022 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers. Rev. David Pleier will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, 1420 22nd Street, Two Rivers from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. The Lakeshore Family Funeral Home, Klein & Stangel location is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
