Funeral services will be 10am, Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Officiating will be Reverend Douglas Caldwell of Wesley Methodist in Nederland, Texas
She was born on October 27, 1920 in Port Arthur to Mr. Ernest Henry and Estelle Calhoun.
Frances was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur, and a member of The United Methodist Temple. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School as well as Port Arthur Business College. Frances worked at First National Bank of Port Arthur. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Frances enjoyed volunteering at her church, as well as making arts and crafts and sewing.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband of forty years George Lee Cooper, three sisters, three brothers and three nephews.
She is survived by her three daughters: Marilyn Evans and husband David, Carolyn Black and husband Timothy and Arlene Massey and husband Johnny, three grand-daughters, four great-granddaughters, two nieces and three nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held following the service at Wesley United Methodist Church, 3515 Helena Avenue Nederland, Texas 77627
Burial will be in Memory Gardens of Jefferson County ~
