Richard Kvitek, age 88, a resident of Atrium Post Acute Care, formerly Hamilton Home, Two Rivers, died Saturday June 24, 2017 at the home.

He was born on November 26, 1928 in Two Rivers, son of the late Edward and Albina (Konop) Kvitek. Richard was a graduate of St. Luke's Catholic School, Two Rivers and attended Washington High School. On October 5, 1963 he married Elizabeth Neumann at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Richard was a polisher and buffer at Mirro Aluminum, retiring after 47 years. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and was an avid Packer and Brewer fan. Richard was an usher for St. Mark's and a lifetime member of St. Joe's Athletic Association where he also served on the board of directors. He played basketball for St. Luke's and had the first 700 series at Rudy's Lanes along with being the secretary for the Monday night bowling league.

Survivors include his wife: Elizabeth (Bette) Kvitek, Two Rivers; four children: Mark (special friend Lynda Engel) Kvitek, Elroy, Sara (David) Barnett, Manitowoc, David Kvitek, Two Rivers, Kathryn "Katie" (Melvin) Williams, Peoria, AZ; three grandchildren: Curtis and Tyler Williams, Abigail Barnett; four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Barbara Johnson, Joan Neumann, Kathleen Neumann, Joleen (Michael) Laurin. Nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and many Godchildren also survive. Richard was also preceded in death by: one sister, Elaine Kvitek; two brothers-in-law: Ronald Johnson and John Neumann.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at St Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Reynebeau with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, Town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2017. The visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Peter the Fisherman, Two Rivers, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
