Son of Donald Hendricks and Patricia Titlebaum.

Denton was brutally murdered by a thirteen year old, whose name is not worthy of mention here or anywhere else. The murderer got out of prison recently. That is a whole new story that I will reserve for an upcoming book I plan to write about public service in this area.

I had known Denton and some of his family members for a very long time. I wore two hats on the afternoon of March 6, 1996. I was fireman and EMT during the initial call for assistance. I was in charge of the mast suit (anti-shock pants) used at the time to sustain upper body vascular functions to ehance our CPR efforts.

Later that night, I put on my other hat as full time Police Officer and assisted other officers of our own department and assisting agencies with the apprehension of the killer from his home. I was partnered with the K-9 unit and and when confronted in his driveway, the K-9's familiar voice was very helpful in his decision making to comply with our commands. This apprehension was a defining moment for this community's understand of the gang "wanna be" mentality. Handcuffing a thirteen year old offender usually brings sadness and pity even to the hardened veteran cop. This cold blooded killer had no remorse whatsoever at the time of his arrest for the taking of another's life. Officers agreed in this case; a bad guy was taken off the streets.

I feel that not only Denton, but his family and the public are owed the story of an innocent child, gunned down in cold blood by a not so innocent killer, once a child himself, but no more.

With the assistance of Butterfly, we will compile a full story, worthy of the respect due to the Hendricks family, especially to Denton. God bless you son, rest well

I want to extend a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Nancy Kiel-Gravning for her gracious kindness in transferring Denton's and Kim Elenbaas's memorials to me. God bless you my new friend. With love

I also want to give a massive thank you to Robert Duran for sponsoring Denton. Thank you my friend, it means alot. God bless you!
