A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 12:00 pm at Fountain Memorial Funeral Home in Lafayette for Brian Blane Bice, 53, who was called home to his Savior on June 25, 2022.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, July, 1, 2022, from 10:00 am until 11:30 am, at Broussard's, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie. His interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Winnie, Texas.

Blane was born December 5, 1968, in Beaumont, TX, and was a long-time resident of Acadiana. He graduated from Acadiana High School, Class of 1988, where he earned his High School Diploma. Blane worked as an Account Manager for AirGas, Inc.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie Herman and Anita Enid Strickland Bice and his brother, Brett Cole Bice.

From the time Blane could talk, he never knew a stranger. He made friends and built relationships that lasted all throughout his life. He treasured his friendships, which was reflected in the outpouring of love and support shown by these friendships. He was known to his friends as Blane, but to his family, he was "Bear". As a little boy, he loved watching Daniel Boone, talked with a lisp and sang his two favorite songs at the time, Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog and Kiss an Angel Good Morning. Even though he was the baby of the family, he was always looking out for his two big sisters. Blane valued family above all and cherished the time he spent with "Mom" and "Dad". He taught himself how to play the guitar and would play and sing with his father. He loved traditional country music. He loved to cook, make people laugh, hunt, and be in the woods. His goal was to make at least one person smile per day. Most of the time, that person was a stranger. He was the "Bear" that took all he learned from his mom about how to be a gentleman and put that into practice daily. Blane was lucky to find the love of his life, Lynne Ann or "L.A. Pickens" as he called her. He was proud to tell anyone and everyone of his love and respect for her. We can all take comfort in knowing that Blane is with his mom and dad, and family members that have been called home before him. They are sure to be playing some beautiful music together.
