Born, October 23, 1926 in West Baden, IN; she was the daughter of the late Theodore and Inez (Deweese) Jones.
Jean graduated from West Baden High School, and later married her husband of 57 years, Glenn Royer. Glenn preceded her in death in November of 2000.
She retired from RCA after 26 years of employment, and volunteered at the Congestive Heart Failure Center in Bloomington for several years.
Jean was a member of Emanual Baptist Church of Bloomington.
Survivors include her son, Steve Royer (Judy) of Bloomington, and daughter, Glenda Griffith of Ellettsville, five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 16 great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Royer, granddaughter, Lynelle Adams, great-grandson, Steven Thomas Royer, great-granddaughter, Mallory Pemberton, son-in-law, Gary Griffith, her beloved twin sister, Betty Jean and nine other siblings.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 South Old State Road 37 in Bloomington. Visitation will be 11:00am until service time.
Burial will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
