William Edward Beaty, 55, Somerset, died Sunday after an illness of several months.

A native of Tateville, he was born May 15, 1915, the son of Walter Beaty and Sarepta Duncan.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, William Beaty, Jr., Dayton, Ohio; and a brother, Clarence Beaty, Indianapolis, Indiana.

He retired as Chief Warrant Officer, U.S.A.F., after 22 years of service. During World War II he served in England and Germany.

He was a member of the High Street Baptist Church and belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

The funeral services were held today at the Somerset Undertaking Company with Lee Davis Fisher officiating. Burial followed at the Somerset City Cemetery.

Somerset Undertaking Company was in charge of arrangements.
