He was born August 27, 1934, to John Sr. & Edna (Miller) Boll. John graduated from New Holstein High School in 1953. On November 6, 1954, he married Ruth H. Fluhr at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. Ruth preceded him in death on May 28, 2011.
John was employed with the Kohler Company until his retirement.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein.
Survivors include his four children, Douglas Boll of Omaha, NE, Daniel (Wendy) Boll of Kiel, Brian (Monica) Boll of New Holstein, and Cynthia (Tom) Schneider of Fond du Lac; 13 grandchildren, William (Marie) Boll, Christa (Jason) Mueller, Courtney (Kyle) Fannin, Alexandra Boll, Drew (Lara) Devine, Michelle (Brian) Haensgen, Travis (Melissa) Boll, Jenna (Kyle) Bratz, Adam (Shana) Boll, Lucas (Meghan) Boll, Alyssa (Tom) Young, Quinten Gerhartz, and Brooke Gerhartz; 17 great-grandchildren with the 18th due in October; his brother, David (Norma) Boll; his sisters-in-law, Marie Boll, Lennie Boll, Kay Boll, Nancy Boll, and Dorothy Richart. He is further survived by nieces; nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, John Sr. & Edna Boll; his wife, Ruth H. Boll; his son & daughter-in-law, Paul (Lora) Boll; five sisters, Jeannette (Harold) Jaschob, Ruth (Frank) Kennon, June (Ike) Herrell, Alice (Alvin) Theiler, and Leona (Wilfrid) Turba; five brothers, Leon Boll, Donald Boll, Robert Boll, Thomas Boll, and an infant brother, Norman Boll.
A Liturgy Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street, New Holstein, WI 53061. Entombment will take place at Calvary Mausoleum in Manitowoc.
Visitation: Family and friends may visit with John's family at Holy Rosary Church on Wednesday, July 6th from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM.
