Norma Lee Wingerd, age 86 of Meadow Bridge, WV, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022 at Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley.

She was born March 28, 1936 at Crickmer, WV, a daughter of the late Basil Akers Walker and the late Beatrice Bessie Fox Walker.

Norma was a talented artist, was an excellent cook who loved to bake. She also enjoyed sewing and loved gardening.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Claude Max Wingerd in 1991 and her longtime companion, Eugene Parker; three sisters, Carol, Genevieve and Juanita Boyd; two brothers, Harold and Denver; and three brothers-in-law, Allen Walker, Darwin Major and Bob Raines.

Survivors include a son, Dean Wingerd (Melinda) of Meadow Bridge; sisters, Brenda Vallandingham (Glenn) of Hinton, Elizabeth Raines of Grafton, Ohio and Peggy Major of Harrison, Michigan; as well as, two grandchildren, Hayley Holsinger and Zachary Wingerd.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home in Rainelle. Interment will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Crawley with Pastor Greg Scott officiating.
