A devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great grandfather, Leo E. Aaron of Bethany, Oklahoma died July 2, 2022 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital.

Leo was born December 8, 1928 during the Great Depression in Seiling, Oklahoma to Charles and Phebe Aaron. Leo was raised in Woodward, Oklahoma along with his two brothers, Lynn and Kenny. Leo's senior year was cut short with the Woodward tornado in 1947. In 1951, Leo enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served proudly through 1971. While in the United States Air Force, Leo served in the Korean War and Vietnam War. After retiring from the military, Leo worked at Tinker Air Force Base in the AWAC division until 1992. Leo wed Waltena Crosson on November 5, 1955. They were married 65 years until her passing in 2021. They were blessed with three children.

Leo is survived by his children: Mark (Kelli) Aaron, Brenda (Nick) Warehime; his grandchildren: Derek (Kelly) Warehime, Jake (Brandy) Warehime, Jennifer Gibson; and great-grandchildren: Kaysen, Kylee, Miller, and Dawsyn Warehime. His daughter, Kim Gibson, preceded him in death.

Leo enjoyed traveling with his wife, Waltena, watching football, league bowling, numismatics, and being with his family.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff at Oklahoma Heart Hospital for their kind and considerate care. They also want to thank all of Leo's neighbors for their years of friendship. Specifically, the Arnolds and the Stuckey's for the special assistance they have provided in the past few years.

Funeral arrangements are by Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany, Oklahoma. Viewing will be from 9am-8pm, Thursday, July 7, 2022. Family Graveside service will be at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 10am.
