Descendant, Hine Dies
Felix D. Hine Sr., 84, descendant of one of Painesville's pioneer families, died Friday at Lake County Memorial Hospital a few hours after he was admitted.
Mr. Hine resided at 784 Liberty St. A life long resident of Painesville, he was born here April 5, 1886. Mr. Hine owned Hine Service Station until his retirement.
Miss Jessie J. Averill became his bride July 2, 1914 at the First Church Congregational of which he is a member. Mr. Hine was a 50-year member of Temple Lodge F&AM No. 28.
Survivors are his widow; three sons, Felix D. Jr., Leroy, Clarence A., Concord, and Robert N., Mentor; a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Jane) Whitmire, Concord; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Ranson, Georgia, Mrs. Bessie Tyler, Willoughby, and Mrs. Esther Sice, California.
