Strawbridge, Mary Lee Lonergan, 83, passed away at Holy Cross Hospital on March 14, 2011. She had lived at John Knox Village since 2005 and in Lighthouse Point and Pompano Beach for most of the previous 50 years. Her husband of 57 years, Duane Strawbridge, died in 2008.

Mrs. Strawbridge was born in Hartford, CT on Jan. 7, 1928, the daughter of Augustine and Lucy Waters Lonergan.

She grew up in Washington, D.C., where she graduated from Central High School and attended George Washington University. She worked for some years on the staff of American Airlines in Washington.

She was for over 50 years a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach.

Among her survivors are a sister, Lucy WL Seligson of Mitchellville, MD; and nieces, Elizabeth G. LaFortune of New York City and Jennifer G. Keenan of Southport, CT; and cousins, Eleanor Dickey of Reston, VA and Alexander Dickey of Alexandria, VA.

A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Pompano Beach on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11 o'clock. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 2331 NE 26th Avenue, Pompano Beach, FL 33062. Arrangements by Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 N. Federal Highway, Pompano Beach.
