Alma M Hart, 73, Chelan, died Monday, Jan. 19, 1987, in a Sedro Woolley Hospital after complications from injuries received in an automobile accident on Jan. 8.
She was born Alma Mae Gibson on March 19, 1913, at Shelby, Mont., and graduated from Shelby High School. She was later employed with JC Penney Co. there.
She married Wilbur E Hart on Aug. 15, 1934, at Shelby and they lived at Shelby until 1954 when they moved to Chelan. The Harts owned and operated Bill's Texaco in Chelan until 1966.
Mrs. Hart was an active member of Chelan United Methodist Church; a member and past president of the VFW auxiliary; a Red Cross blood bank volunteer; and an avid basketball fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Lorraine) Church, Wenatchee, and Lola Barkely, Seattle; a sister, Alice Greetan, Bellingham; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981 and one son in 1969.
