CHELAN – Wilbur E. Hart, 70, Chelan, died Thursday morning at Central Washington Hospital.
He was born May 17, 1911, at Shelby, Mont., and spent his early years there. On Aug. 15. 1934, he married Alma Gibson at Shelby. Following marriage, they made their home at Shelby, where Mr. Hart owned and operated a service station.
They moved to Chelan in 1954, where he operated the Texaco station. From 1966 until his retirement in 1976, he was employed by Valley Evaporating Co.
Mr. Hart was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army. He was a member of the Chelan United Methodist Church, American Legion Post No. 108, Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 6853 and the Wenatchee Stamp Club.
Survivors include his wife, Alma, at home; two daughters, Lorraine Church, East Wenatchee and Lola Barkley, Kirkland; two sisters, Edna Hinkforth, Great Falls, Mont., and Hattie Anderson, Casper, Wyo.; one brother, Wayne, Choteau, Mont.; three grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry, in 1969, a sister and five brothers.
Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan, is in charge of arrangements.
