Keith Dillon, 81, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital.

Keith was born Nov. 25, 1926, in Sioux City, to Jesse F. and Evelyn (Hansel) Dillon. He grew up in the Jefferson, S.D., area and graduated from Jefferson High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in March 1945. He served as a paratrooper and was honorably discharged in December 1946.

Upon his return, he married Dorothy Allison in Feb. 7, 1947, in Sioux City. The couple lived their entire married life in Sioux City. He worked as an accountant/bookkeeper for Roberts Dairy and International Paper for 31 years.

He enjoyed fishing, gambling and horse racing. He was a member of American Legion Monahan Post 64.

He is survived by his children, Douglas Dillon (Kathy) of Vancouver, Wash., Karen Cole (Dennis) of Sioux City, Brenda Dillon of Sioux City, Pamela Dillon (Kirk) of Haines, Alaska, Becky Michael (Dan) of Elk Point, S.D., and Linda Wilhelmi (Tom) of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Dillon (Ginger) of Sioux City; and a sister, Norma Simpson (Ron) of Sacramento, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy in June 2005; and two sisters, Shirley Comstock and Joann Mahnke.

The family would like to thank the nurse, Pam, on the fifth floor of St. Luke's and Hospice of Siouxland.
