Paul Arness, 85 of King City passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022 at his home in King City. He was born July 23, 1936 in Crookston, Minnesota.

Paul served in the U.S. Army 1954 to 1957. He was a Lifelong Member of VFW and the American Legion.

He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Dakota and he has lived in Monterey County for 61 years. He was a teacher for 27 years at King City High School where he taught Auto Mechanics, Small Engines, and Mechanical Drawing. His was affectionately called "Auto Arnie" by many of his friends, colleagues and past students.

He enjoyed wood carving, mainly birds and fish. He has also carved several full size Carousel Horses and he made much of his own furniture.

Paul and his wife, Rozvell have been married for 64 years.

Paul is survived by his wife Rozvell, son, Vincent Arness and daughter, Toni Kapper; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Linda and grandson, Vince "Chuncka".

A Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held at 11am on Friday, June 17, 2022, at St. John's Catholic Church, 504 N. Third St., King City, CA 93930. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the King City District Cemetery.
