Samuel Woodruff (1759-1847) of Litchfield County enlisted on the 15th day of April, 1778 into Captain Judson Curtiss' Company, in the regiment commanded by Colonel Arnold of the Connecticut Line, and served in said corps until the 15th of April 1779 when he was discharged from service in West Haven (now the town of Orange) in this State. Occupation, farmer. — Clipping from Republican farmer, 21 May 1858.
