Roy E. Williams, 89, of Eaton, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, in Eaton. Born Sept. 11, 1910, in Preble County, he was the son of Lester and Dora (Creech) Williams. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and had farmed in the Preble County area. He was employed as a truck driver by Camden Ready Mix until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elinor (Spitler) Williams, whom he married July 2, 1952, in Camden; and a great-granddaughter, Angela Chaney.

Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Shepherd of Eaton; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Friday, Oct. 15, at R.C. Nein & Sons-Thompson Funeral Home, Camden. Burial was in Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
