In addition to the early years of being a teacher, realtor, and summer camp director, Tom is best known for his amazing business sense that was to become Aurora Farms which developed into a furniture store, flea market and outlet mall. He greatly added to the charm of Aurora Farms with his talent as an auctioneer, his ability to sell anything, and his desire to connect with everyone he encountered.

It wasn't until retirement that Tom enhanced his carving skills and won numerous blue ribbons.Tom was extremely generous with his time and resources and was very involved with collecting donations for the Christian Appalachian Project. He also hosted auctions for Hattie Larlham, Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital and several other charities. Tom served on various boards and it goes without saying he was always available and present to his grand children who he spoiled well into adulthood.

He was a Charter member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church. His faith was central to his life. Tom's wit, smile, kisses, compassion and generous heart will be greatly missed.
