BUTLER: Cindy Bonin quilted the most colorful and detailed blankets, which were an expression of her beautiful, kind spirit. She laughed easy and had a wonderful sense of humor.
Cynthia K. "Cindy" Bonin passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 12, 2022 due to complications from a heart event. She was 64.
The daughter of Robert Maurer, Jr. and Nancy Arnold Maurer, Cindy was born June 4, 1958 in Canton, Ohio and graduated from Madison High School. Cindy had worked at Therm-O-Disc. Through a friend and coworker, Dorothy Bonin, Cindy first met Dorothy's son, John. Cindy and John were married August 21, 1993.
Cindy and John loved to travel across the country in their trailer. She appreciated nature, especially bird watching and working in her flower beds.
She attended Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
Cindy is survived by her husband John Bonin of Butler; mother-in-law Dorothy Bonin of Bellville; sister-in-law Irene Cooperrider of Bellville, brother-in-law Larry (Kim) Bonin of Mansfield; close family and "Supper Club" friends, Jim (Judy) Larimore and Dan (Heidi) Fry; sister-in-law Linda Maurer; and niece and nephew Michael and Angel Maurer.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Maurer, III; father-in-law Charles Bonin; and niece Ashley Cooperrider.
Cindy's family will receive friends Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 2-5 pm in the Bellville Snyder Funeral Home where her funeral service will be held Monday at 11 am. Pastor Lindsey Funtik will officiate and burial will follow in Bellville Cemetery.
