Genevieve T. "Jean" (Gorski) Pac, 83, of New Britain, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008, at her home. Jean and her husband, Stanley J. Pac, shared a loving relationship for 61 years. A lifelong New Britain resident, daughter of the late John Gorski and Rose (Kowalczyk) Gorski, Mrs. Pac was a member of Sacred Heart Church, New Britain and its Ladies Guild and choir. She was formerly employed by the Veterans Administration in Washington, D.C., the V.A. Medical Center, Newington, and the Veterans Administration Office, New Britain. Jean was a member of the Polonaise Club, a past member of the St. Lucian's Home Board of Directors and its Auxiliary. Throughout the years, she volunteered much time to her children's activities and their fundraising events. A loving and devoted mother and "Babci," she leaves her six children, Patricia Pac and her husband, Paul L. LeTendre, of Wethersfield, Barbara Pac of New Britain, Corinne Pac and her husband, Jerry Fort, of Newington, Stanley J. Pac, Jr. and his wife, Dale, of Southington, Therese Pac and her husband, Barry Thompson, of Bristol and Tracy Ryan and her husband, Christopher, of Wethersfield; and her two beloved grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlin; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Veronica Bogden. Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
