Kurt Gustav Wilckens was a German anarchist militant, known in Argentina for having avenged the repression of rebel Patagonia with the assassination of Lieutenant Colonel Héctor Benigno Varela. He was assassinated by Jose Ernesto Perez Millan Temperley, a member of the Patriotic League, while he was sleeping in his cell at the National Penitentiary.
