Death of Mrs. Priscillia Hengst.
Mrs. Pricillia Hengst, wife of Mr. H. C. Hengst, died at their home five and one half miles southwest of the city on February 21, at 10:45 p. m.
The body was held for burial until Friday, March 1, to await the arrival of two daughters, Mrs. Ella Rohrbaugh, of Casper, Wyoming, Mrs. Anna King, of Manccos, Colorado, and a son, Mr. William Hengst, and a grandson, of Sapulpu, Indian Territory.
Mrs. Hengst was born May 2, 1837; was married to H. C. Hengst in 1861; moved to Kansas in 1878 and to Hood River in 1891. All the children, including Mr. Jos. Hengst, of Hood River, were present at the funeral which was held at the residence on Friday, March 1, at 11 a. m. with Rev. H. C. Clark officiating. Interment at Idlewilde. S. E. Bartmess had charge of the funeral arrangements.
