Richard "Dicky" Hoffpauir
November 18, 1962 ~ July 14, 2022 (age 59)

VILLE PLATTE, LOUISIANA
Richard "Dicky" Hoffpauir left this world suddenly on July 14, 2022, at the age of 59. A celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 6:30 PM at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte and will be conducted by Pastor Kevin West.

Dicky was born on November 18, 1962, to Leroy and Jane Hoffpauir in Franklin, Louisiana.

He was a proud Louisiana State University graduate, where he first received his B.S. in Agriculture Education and went on to teach like both of his parents. While teaching, he pursued and received his Master's degree from LSU in Ag. Business. Dicky then began his career with the United States Department of Agriculture, where he worked for 29 years and was planning for retirement in November.

Dicky was absolutely devoted to his two girls, Erin and Dani, and much of his life revolved around raising them with a solid farm experience and lots of love. He loved Polled Hereford cattle and later came to embrace Angus as well. His favorite pastime was hunting and watching NCIS. Whether woodworking, building new fences around the farm, grilling on the back porch, or riding around town with a Yeti cup full of ice and Diet Sunkist and his best dog, Oliver, Dicky constantly had to keep busy. His newest pride, joy, and passion was his first grandson, Fisher.

Richard "Dicky" is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Hoffpauir; mother, Jane Hoffpauir; and great nephew, William Brandon Hoffpauir Jr..

Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dani Hoffpauir and Erin (Hoffpauir) Billiot and her husband, Tristen Billiot and their son, Fisher Billiot; his brother, Bill Hoffpauir and his wife, Debbie Hoffpauir; his loving partner, Jan Mayeaux Fontenot and her son, Grant Fontenot; and many nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family to him. The times that they shared together will live on forever in the hearts of those that loved Dicky and his presence will be greatly missed.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 beginning at 4:00 PM until the Celebration of Life at 6:30 PM.
