Mary Blecha, daughter of Joseph and Anna Slavik, was born in the state of Wisconsin on July 5, 1879 and died at the Blue Valley Rest Home in Hebron, Neb., Aug. 2, 1968. She was 89 years and 28 days of age.
She came with her parents at an early age to a farm in the Munden vicinity. She received her education at the Albion and Bethlehem schools.
On March 25, 1900 she was united in marriage to Frank J. Blecha. To this union five children were born.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two infant daughters, husband and one sister, Mrs. Anna Chopp.
Survivors include three sons, Charles of Cuba, Edward of Munden and Ernest of Narka; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Slavik, Narka, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Chapel of Belleville August 4. with Rev. John W. Frint officiating. Interment was in the Tabor cemetery.
