August C. Gehr

August C. Gehr, 93, a resident of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, died there Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1996.

August was born in Sheboygan, May 29, 1903, ti the late Herman and Clara Leonhardt Gehr. He attended Sheboygan area schools.

On Dec. 9, 1939, he married Lucille Kerwin, also of Sheboygan Falls, at Trinity Lutheran Church Parsonage. The couple were former residents of the St. Nicholas Apartments.

August was a cabinet marker at Lakeshore Display, until his retirement. Mrs. Gehr preceded him in death on Dec. 27, 1988.

Mr. Gerh was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Eleanora Neves, Malitta Voelker and Clara (Klaus) Gorter, all of Sheboygan and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Lucille, was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at 4 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. Galan Walther, associate pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be from 3 p.m. Saturday, until the time services. Entombment will take place at Garden Terrace Mausoleum.

A memorial fund has been established in his name, for Trinity Lutheran Church.
