Bruce Weldon Baxter, 84, of Beaumont, Texas died Sunday, July 17, 2022 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.

A native of Quitman, Louisiana, Bruce has lived in Beaumont for 43 years and was a retired Architect with A&E Design and with Bruce Baxter AIA.

Bruce proudly achieved the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer with The United States Navy and was a proud member of the Southeast Texas Veterans Group.

Bruce enjoyed playing the guitar and singing, fishing, cars, working out and spending time with his family.

A Celebration of Bruce's Life will be held at 10am on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 9~10am on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Beaumont.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Robert W. and Nora L. Swanson Baxter.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gladys Baxter of Beaumont, his daughters, Stephanie Harrison and her husband Terry, Cara Buckley and her husband Johnny all of Orange and Dee Dee Wukasch and her husband Darrell of Port Arthur, Texas, his brother, Robert "Pete" Baxter and his wife Sylvia of Vidor, Texas, his sister, Mary Jo Wallace of New Braunfels, Texas, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Bruce will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.~
