Vivian Delores Flynn, 89, of Marshall, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Vivian was born February 28, 1933 to her late parents, Theodore and Flossie Lewis Lambert. She faithfully served the Lord her whole life, first at Big Laurel Baptist Church where she gave her life to the Lord at age 12, then, in 1952, she met and married the love of her life Bert Flynn and became a member of Walnut Creek Baptist Church where she served in many capacities for over 60 years. In her last years she became a member of Alexander Baptist Church where she attended her last service on July 6th.
Vivian enjoyed cooking, gardening and just being outdoors. She prepared many meals and was always pleased when family and friends would gather around the table. Her sweet smile, kind heart and generous spirit will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Flynn, step-mother, Phoebe Lambert, sister, Maxine Rice and brother, Donald Lambert.
Left to cherish her memory are: three sons, Randy (Elaine), Rodney (Barbara) and Ray (Denise); five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Clara Ball; sister-in-law, Peggy Lambert; and many nieces, nephews and adopted grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Madison Funeral Services with Pastor Gerald Sprinkle officiating. Interment will follow in Lewis Branch Cemetery.
